We’re excited to share the latest updates, important dates, and upcoming opportunities within the Collingwood Girls Hockey Association. Be sure to review all the details below and mark your calendars!

📅 Key Dates

March 28-29th- SMGHL Championships
March 23rd- Spring Tryout Registration for 2026-27 Competitive Teams Opens
April 9-11th- OWHA Provincial Championships
April 24th- Tryout Registration Closes
April 25 - May 24th- Competitive Team Tryouts
May 9th- COLGHA Lightning Banquet
May 18th- HL Coach Applications OPEN
June TBA- 2026-27 Registration Opens (including Summer 3v3 and Goalie Clinics)
June TBA- AGM

🏒 Tryout Registration and 2026-2027 Registration Information

Registration for 2026-2027 Competitive (Rep) Team TRYOUTS, U11 through Senior, will open Tuesday March 23rd. Updated tryout details have been posted to our WEBSITE, please review this important information. Players planning to attend tryouts are encouraged to register early.

U9B Tryouts will commence in September 2026, pending tryout packages purchased and registration numbers.

Senior C Competitive Team registration will open in June.

Competitive (Rep) team tryouts will take place from April 25 through May 24. Please check the website for division-specific schedules, fees, and requirements.

2026-2027 General Season Information can be found on our WEBSITE, please review all updates. Registration for the season will commence in June as per OWHA instructions.

👩🏫 House League Coach Applications

Applications for House League Coaches will be accepted from May 18 through June 1.

Coaching is a fantastic way to get involved, support player development, and give back to our hockey community. Please visit our WEBSITE for further information.

💗 Hockey for Hope Update

Thank you to everyone who supported this year’s Hockey for Hope initiative. Your continued generosity and involvement made a real impact on My Friend’s House, Women and Children's Shelter. Together we raised $4,909.85 and a net full of much needed items!! Thank you!

Huge thanks to the H4H Committee for their time and effort, it was an amazing day of community spirit and would not have happened without you.

We’re proud to celebrate the accomplishments of our COLGHA Lightning teams this season!

From strong performances on the ice to incredible teamwork, sportswomanship and community initiatives, our players continue to represent COLGHA with pride.

Our HL Teams are just about to hit the Simcoe Muskoka Girls Hockey League Championships, March 28 & 29th, and many of our Competitive Teams head to Brampton April 10-12th for OWHA Provincial Championships. Good Luck to ALL Lightning Teams!
